THE RUNDOWN: Sunday, January 8

Sunday night has the Golden Globes on NBC hosted by Jimmy Fallon. With Fallon hosting and some buzzy shows like This is Us and Westworld nominated, it could be up from last year's 18.5 million viewers/5.5 demo. FOX will be in the mix too because they have a big Wildcard game as a lead-in. The Packers played the Redskins last year in this same slot and delivered a 12.1 demo which led to big numbers for their animated lineup. A Giants-Packers matchup this year could conceivably be even bigger if it's close. CBS will get lost in the crowd against football and the Globes but they will have promotion earlier in the day during football so they may not completely fall apart. ABC is basically in filler/burnoff mode.
