Tuesday night has a bunch of interesting ratings things to watch. The big event of the night is the premiere of ABC's Tuesday comedy lineup with a block of four comedies and the arrival of The Middle from Wednesdays, its home for seven years. ABC has promoted this move a lot and for good reason. The lineup seems destined to drop as the two hours go on so the better The Middle performs, the better it will be for the overall lineup. It leads into the series premiere of American Housewife and then season premieres of Fresh Off the Boat and The Real O'Neals. I think The Middle will be below Wednesday ratings but will do OK. In fact, I think all four shows will do OK relative to their own expectations. Elsewhere, This is Us has its big move to 9pm after a week off. NBC is hoping it didn't lose any momentum after the debate last week and it's a fairly easy, higher-viewed timeslot but it does have to face fellow newbie Bull now. The CW has the second week of its Tuesday lineup and we'll see if No Tomorrow can avoid crashing to a 0.2 or 0.3 demo. FOX has a crossover between Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl but it seems unlikely to provide much of a boost, if any, to either show.
