On Wednesday night, it was FOX on top as usual but they were also the only network that was fully new. At 8pm, Rosewood was up three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 9pm, Empire was up four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. It hasn't risen much this season so this was a strong night. On ABC, The Middle was down three tenths in viewers and even in the demo to start off the night. A special of The Goldbergs did pretty well and was not too far off from original episodes. After a Modern Family repeat at 9pm, Black-ish was down seven tenths in viewers to a series low but even in the demo. At 10pm, Nashville was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. On CBS, Survivor was up two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Following a repeat of Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders did not drop much from when it followed an original last week as it was down a million viewers but just a tenth in the demo. I still think this show has done enough to get a second season. Finally on NBC, Heartbeat was up half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Empire (FOX)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Nashville (ABC)
