On a night where 18 million people watched the CNN Republican debate, the finale of The Voice did not reach the heights comparatively to its recent showings. It was down four tenths in viewers and up a tenth in the demo from last week but it did not top the Monday night performance show. It's been a great season for The Voice but this was a weaker finale. The debate certainly played a role in that. On CBS, NCIS started things off down seven tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. NCIS: New Orleans and Limitless fared OK against The Voice. New Orleans was up two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo while Limitless was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. FOX had low-rated repeats while ABC fared slightly better with a trio of Christmas specials and a repeat of Shark Tank.
