On Sunday night, the season premiere of The Walking Dead was down on Cable but still well above any broadcast network offering on ANY night of the week. It seemed to cut in the most to ABC's audience, which saw drops for all three dramas. First at 7pm, the season premiere of America's Funniest Home Videos with new host Alfonso Ribeiro didn't make much of a dent but if past years are any indication, it will go up in the spring when there's not football competition. At 8pm, Once Upon a Time was down a tenth in viewers and two tenths in the demo, tying a series low in the latter category. The wheels came off at 9pm as Blood & Oil sunk 1.4 million viewers and four tenths in the demo to a paltry 0.9 demo. This has now hit a territory where it could be pulled early instead of being allowed to finish its initial order. Perhaps this could be a spot for Beyond the Tank (or better yet, air Tank at 8pm and Once at 9pm). At 10pm, Quantico was down 1.2 million viewers and three tenths in the demo. This was a steep drop after two solid weeks but the lead-in isn't doing it any favors.

CBS had a big NFL overrun and, as usual, it helped 60 Minutes soar. The veteran newsmagazine was up 3.6 million viewers and 1.5 demo points. Unfortunately for CBS, it provided next to no help to the rest of the night. Madam Secretary was helped just ever so slightly as it was down six tenths in viewers but up a tenth in the demo. The Good Wife followed and was down half a million viewers and even in the demo. CSI: Cyber was hit the hardest with a 10:33pm start time. It was down seven tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo to a terrible 0.8 demo. And to no one's surprise, it's clear that CSI: Cyber is not going to work in this slot. NBC was down quite a bit with its Giants-49ers matchup compared to last week.

Finally, FOX tumbled across the board without a direct NFL lead-in in most of the country. At 7:30pm, Bob's Burgers was down three tenths in viewers and the demo from its last airing two weeks ago. At 8pm, The Simpsons was hit the hardest since it usually has the direct lead-in. It was down 2.7 million viewers and 1.2 demo points. The rest of the night had substantial drops as well. Brooklyn Nine-Nine was down 1.3 million viewers and six tenths in the demo, Family Guy was down eight tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo, and The Last Man on Earth was down six tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo to a new series low. These shows are doing very poorly on weeks that they don't have the NFL and that's a very bad sign for how things are going to go in the spring for these shows.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: 60 Minutes (CBS)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Blood & Oil (ABC)
