It's shaping up to be a pretty strong edition for The Voice as Tuesday night's episode was up 1.4 million viewers and two tenths in the demo. It may have been helped by CBS being in repeats, but it's still another strong showing. No show was happier about The Voice returning than Chicago Fire. It soared 2.8 million viewers and seven tenths in the demo from its last airing and posted its best numbers since November. FOX had the premiere of the latest edition of Hell's Kitchen and it was not as strong as Masterchef Junior, as expected. At 9pm, New Girl was down four tenths in viewers and even in the demo while The Mindy Project was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo.

Over on ABC, Fresh Off the Boat started things off up two tenths in viewers and down a tenth in the demo. It's slowly slipping against The Voice, but it's definitely done enough to get a second season. At 8:30pm, Repeat After Me was up two tenths in viewers and down a tenth in the demo. At 9pm, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returned after two months off. It was down eight tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from its last airing. It's a small improvement over the weak Agent Carter, but not much. Will it get a third season? I think so because I think it still gets that male demographic that ABC has difficulty with. At 10pm, Forever was down three tenths in viewers and even in the demo.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Chicago Fire (NBC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC)
