Wednesday night had new episodes on CBS and FOX only. On CBS, Survivor started things off down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 9pm, Criminal Minds was down a tenth in viewers but up two tenths in the demo after a couple rough weeks. At 10pm, week two of CSI: Cyber was down eight tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. While that's a good hold from the premiere, the competition was light and the lead-in was up so I'm not overly impressed. On FOX, American Idol was up eight tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo. For the first time, Empire didn't rise in the demo. But it stayed exactly where it was at a mammoth 5.8. It also rose six tenths in viewers for another series high. The two hour season finale is next week and it could easily hit a 6.0 demo.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Empire (FOX)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: CSI: Cyber (CBS)
