Thursday night marks the beginning of February Sweeps and there is a whole lot of things going on.
Most anticipated is the return of ABC's TGIT lineup. They haven't been new since November 20, but Scandal came back strong after a long hiatus last year and it's been well-promoted so I think the big numbers will be back for all three shows though the competition is strong so I'd be surprised if their much above their fall finale numbers, if at all. NBC has the season finale of The Biggest Loser and the series finale of Parenthood as the Bravermans say goodbye after six seasons. It has always had a loyal but small audience and that should hold true for the finale. It might have had a bigger bump if it didn't have to compete with the return of Murder. CBS has its new lineup fully in tact for the first time in a couple weeks. As usual, The Big Bang Theory should bring up the beginning of the night but Elementary is likely to fall with the tough 10pm competition. The network most vulnerable for big drops is FOX as Backstrom could see a pretty steep fall in its second week.
