FOX announced today that
Bob's Burgers has been renewed for a sixth season. The show needs extra lead-time to get ready so it often is the recipient of an early renewal.
Bob's Burgers started the season as an afterthought, airing on Sundays at 7:30pm when there wasn't an NFL doubleheader. Then,
Mulaney was an instant bomb at 9:30pm and FOX chose to give it the dead 7:30pm slot while
Bob's got an upgrade to 9:30pm. It has been much stronger since then and will air there for awhile until the new
Last Man on Earth comes in March. This is a great utility player for FOX and it's youngest cartoon, so its renewal was a slam dunk.
