Friday night had the final new ABC fall series in Cristela. First up, Last Man Standing was down three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from last week's season premiere. Then Cristela premiered to very positive numbers by Friday standards. It held nearly all of Last Man's lead-in in total viewers and built on it in the demo. While a 1.3 demo is nothing to write home about, it looks like it might be a better fit with Last Man Standing than I originally thought. We'll have to see how it does in the weeks to come, but it was a promising start. At 9pm, Shark Tank easily remained the top draw of the night as it was even in total viewers and up a tenth in the demo from last week. At 10pm, 20/20 was up a tenth in viewers and down a tenth in the demo.

Over on CBS, The Amazing Race started things off down two tenths in viewers and even in the demo. At 9pm, Hawaii Five-0 was down six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 10pm, Blue Bloods was up two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At a 1.3 demo, it tied Cristela for second best of the night. On NBC, Dateline NBC was down three tenths in viewers and even in the demo. Will the two newsmagazines do better when they stop competing with each other in a couple weeks after Dateline moves to 8pm? Finally on FOX, Utopia was up a tenth in viewers and the demo.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Cristela (ABC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Dateline NBC (NBC)
