RENEWAL ALERT: Law & Order: SVU

After some tense discussions, NBC has renewed Law & Order: SVU for a 16th (!) season. The show was not among NBC's early renewals like The Blacklist, Grimm, and the Chicago twins and that was because Dick Wolf and NBC were having a battle over costs. But they worked it out and SVU will return. It absolutely needed to because it is actually up year-to-year (which rarely happens for any show, much less a show as old as SVU). It also has had a creative resurgence with a winning performance from star Mariska Hargitay.

In addition to the dramas mentioned above, SVU joins The Voice, Parks and Recreation, and Celebrity Apprentice on the renewal list. Remaining NBC bubble shows with a good to fair chance to come back are About a Boy, The Biggest Loser, Community, Dracula, Growing Up Fisher, Hannibal, Parenthood, and Revolution.
