After the Golden Globes, NFC Championship Game, Grammys, Super Bowl, Winter Olympics, and Oscars, we have the first regular Sunday night in months. There are two series premieres as well. First up, ABC has Resurrection, which got far more advertising than any other ABC show during the Oscars. I think it has enough awareness to have a solid premiere. It should also get a boost from a stronger Once Upon a Time, which hasn't aired since December. A strong premiere could help Revenge for tonight at least in its new 10pm timeslot. FOX has the series premiere of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. The documentary series is a follow-up to the 1980 series hosted by Carl Sagan. It is billed as a limited documentary, but if it does well I'm sure FOX would find a way to bring it back. I think it will do OK but have limited appeal. Because of the new series, the animated sitcoms slide to 7-9pm which could be bad news for Bob's Burgers at 7pm. CBS has its regular lineup and hopes for a rally for The Amazing Race after it had trouble against the Oscars and Olympics. Only NBC is sitting the night out but they join the fun next week with the new Believe and Crisis.
