THE RUNDOWN: Thursday, January 23

Thursday night has the series premiere of Rake on FOX. While the buzz doesn't seem to be too high, it does have an American Idol lead-in so it should be one of the stronger midseason premieres though retention out of Idol could be low. Speaking of Idol, I think it could see a sizable dip from last week. NBC is flipping The Michael J. Fox Show and Sean Saves the World but that's really just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic while Community bids farewell to co-star Donald Glover. CBS is in repeats but airing a second episode of The Big Bang Theory at 9pm perhaps to blunt the Rake premiere a bit.

ABC
8:00 The Taste
10:00 Shark Tank (REPEAT)
Prediction: Taste - 3.6 million, 1.0

CBS
8:00 The Big Bang Theory #139 "The Raiders Minimization" (REPEAT)
8:30 The Millers #8 "Internet Dating" (REPEAT)

9:00 The Big Bang Theory #136 "The Hofstadter Insufficiency" (REPEAT)
9:30 The Crazy Ones #8 "The Stan Wood Account" (REPEAT)
10:00 Elementary #27 "We Are Everyone" (REPEAT)

NBC
8:00 Community #89 "Geothermal Escapism"
8:30 Parks and Recreation #102 "Farmers Market"
9:00 The Michael J. Fox Show #15 "Sochi"
9:30 Sean Saves the World #13 "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings"
10:00 Parenthood #82 "You've Got Mold"
Prediction: Community - 3.4 million, 1.2/Parks - 3.3 million, 1.3/Fox - 2.4 million, 0.8/Sean - 2.5 million, 0.8/Parenthood - 4.2 million, 1.2

FOX
8:00 American Idol
9:00 Rake #1 "Serial Killer" (SERIES PREMIERE)
Prediction: Idol - 11.7 million, 3.5/Rake - 7.4 million, 2.3
