Sunday night had a mammoth football overrun which meant good things for the early part of CBS's evening. The finale of the thrilling Broncos-Cowboys game lasted well into primetime and delivered dynamite numbers. That helped 60 Minutes to huge numbers. Despite starting 44 minutes later, The Amazing Race also felt the effect as it was up 1.1 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. The halo didn't lasted into The Good Wife as much though it was up a tenth in the demo and even in viewers. The Mentalist was down 1.1 million viewers and a tenth in the demo which is not bad considering it started at 10:44pm ET. Over on NBC, the 49ers-Texans game was slightly below last week's Patriots-Falcons showdown.

Over on ABC, Once Upon a Time held up very well as it was down just half a million viewers and even in the demo from its season premiere. This is good news for ABC as its Sunday anchor has been looking weaker and weaker. The two dramas that followed did not hold up as well. Revenge was down 1.3 million viewers and four tenths in the demo as it looks like it will continue its downward slide this season. At 10pm, Betrayal was also down 1.3 million viewers and four tenths in the demo from last week. It's a dead show walking but with Lucky 7 already cancelled, it might be able to hang around through the fall. Finally on FOX, the annual Treehouse of Horror special on The Simpsons was even in viewers and up a tenth in the demo. The rest of the night didn't benefit though: Bob's Burgers was down three tenths in viewers and the demo, Family Guy was even in viewers and down a tenth in the demo, and American Dad! was up two tenths in viewers and even in the demo.
