Wednesday night had mostly repeats and some veteran shows on CBS and NBC took advantage. For CBS, Survivor was up three tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo for a season high. This is a strong showing for the veteran reality show. On NBC, Dateline NBC was up six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo while Law & Order: SVU was up 1.1 million viewers and three tenths in the demo for its best performance since January. This show can still be a player but it gets killed when Criminal Minds is new. Over on ABC, How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) was surrounded by repeats and took a big hit as a result. It was down 1.3 million viewers and half a demo point. It needs to rebound big time next week when it follows a new Modern Family. Finally on FOX, American Idol was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo despite limited competition.
