On Monday night, NBC premiered its new post-Voice (and pre-Voice) Monday lineup and the results were so-so but not terrible. The Biggest Loser settled into its regular timeslot down from the Sunday premiere numbers but still decent. It managed to squeak by The Bachelor on ABC in the battle of the two veteran reality shows. At 10pm, the series premiere of Deception delivered mediocre numbers. It wasn't a horrible premiere for NBC but nowhere near Revolution numbers. We'll see how the next couple weeks do but I don't love its long-term chances.

Over on ABC, The Bachelor returned to slightly lower numbers than last year's premiere. The bad news is the franchise continues to be trending downwards. The good news is it didn't have a huge year-to-year drop and often grows as the episodes go on. At 10pm, the numbers were disappointing for Castle as it was only up two tenths in viewers and the demo from its season low numbers in its last airing. It was only facing a CBS repeat and a mediocre NBC premiere so it should be doing better. On FOX, the final episode of The Mob Doctor was up from last week's New Years Eve episode.
