It was a quiet Friday night on the broadcast networks. In light of the horrible tragedy in Connecticut, both 20/20 and Dateline were up big with special coverage. Elsewhere on ABC, Christmas episodes of their comedies were in the 8pm hour. Last Man Standing was up three tenths in viewers and even in the demo while Malibu Country was up four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Take it All was down slightly from its Thursday installment on NBC. On FOX, Kitchen Nightmares was even in viewers and down a tenth in the demo while Fringe was up four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo.
