Thursday saw pretty good week-to-week numbers compared to Monday and Tuesday. On ABC, week two of Last Resort started things off down 1.3 million viewers and three tenths in the demo from last week. This isn't a horrible drop for a show like this in a killer timeslot. Charlie's Angels was already down to a 1.5 demo by this point last year. Grey's Anatomy was down nine tenths in viewers and six tenths in the demo from last week's inflated premiere. The drop is big but last week was way higher than usual. The veteran drama is still up year-to-year. At 10pm, Scandal was down a tenth in viewers and the demo. Retention was much better this week but still low.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory started off the night down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. Without Modern Family, it will end the week as the top demo draw of the week. At 8:30pm, Two and a Half Men had slightly better retention as it was down two tenths in viewers but up a tenth in the demo. At 9pm, Person of Interest was up three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo as it benefited from Grey's Anatomy not being as dominant. Will it be able to catch up to Grey's like it did around midseason last year? At 10pm, Elementary was down 2.3 million viewers and six tenths in the demo from its series premiere. This is a pretty bad drop and even worse when considering the lead-in was up. This can't be what CBS hoped for in week two as now none of their new shows, comedy or drama, is above a 2.5 demo.

NBC had another low night but some week to week gains in the 9pm hour. At 8pm though, the final season premiere of 30 Rock delivered pretty pathetic numbers. It is long past time for this show to be done and it will be after its 13 episode final season. At 8:30pm, Up All Night was down two tenths in viewers and even in the demo. Though it's awfully low, the consistency is helping it from being pulled instantly for Community. At 9pm, The Office was even in viewers and actually up a tenth in the demo while Parks and Recreation was up two tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo for its best demo performance since January. At 10pm, Rock Center was up three tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. On FOX, The X Factor was down a tenth in viewers and even in the demo while Glee was up three tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. CBS, NBC, and FOX were all up week-to-week at 9pm as Grey's came back to Earth a bit.
