On Wednesday night, CBS was all new starting with the 25th edition premiere of Survivor. The premiere was up seven tenths in viewers and down two tenths in the demo from last fall's premiere but up in both categories from its winter premiere. It will probably continue to do well but I still think CBS should think about doing just one cycle a year. They can afford to. Without competition from a new episode of The Voice, The X Factor was up eight tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. It will do well enough but it will never be the mammoth hit people thought it might be both last year and this year.
