GOOD WEEK/BAD WEEK: Week 25

GOOD WEEK: NBC MONDAYS
NBC has nothing going right for them the rest of the night but their Mondays are killing it. This is mostly due to The Voice, which has become TV's top show this season. Last year, it slipped after the blind auditions but this week was the first battle round episode and it posted its best numbers since its Monday premiere. This is a hit in every sense of the word. The news was better for Smash too which went back up this week. Though retention is terrible, a 2.7 demo is far and away the best demo number for NBC. After some rough drops, it seems to have leveled out at a decent number for NBC.

BAD WEEK: "AWAKE"
But alas, NBC is still NBC. It's other highly anticipated midseason drama, Awake, has not fared as well as Smash. It managed to debut to an ok 2.0 demo but in week two, it dropped to a 1.6 which is not good at all. People seem to have mostly rejected this show and it is now the third new show this season to struggle in a slot that has been home to some of TV's all time top dramas including Hill Street Blues, LA Law, and ER. It will be back to the drawing board for NBC unless Awake can turn things around and that seems unlikely.
