Check back soon for Ratings Recaps for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday! The MLK Holiday has delayed final numbers.
ABC
8:00 The Middle #62 "Hecking It Up"
8:30 Suburgatory #12 "The Casino Trip"
9:00 Modern Family #61 "Little Bo Bleep"
9:30 Happy Endings #25 "Makin' Changes!"
10:00 Revenge #13 "Commitment"
ABC is all new on Wednesday night but the big question for all the networks is what kind of impact will American Idol have on the other shows? Probably less than other years but I'd still expect numbers to be down slightly though Modern Family could be up a hair on the heels of a Golden Globe win and last week's surprising drop. Revenge should also not really be affected and I think this lineup might surprise in general by not taking too much of a hit. The Middle could be hit the hardest.
Prediction: Middle - 8.9 million, 2.7/Suburgatory - 8.5 million, 2.8/Family - 12.4 million, 5.3/Endings - 6.6 million, 3.0/Revenge - 7.8 million, 2.4
CBS
8:00 NCIS #188 "Restless" (REPEAT)
9:00 Criminal Minds #149 "True Genius"
10:00 CSI #262 "Ms. Willows Regrets" Part 1
CBS is new from 9-11pm. Criminal Minds could take a slight hit from the strong competition in the hour but CSI should be strong with the first of Marg Helgenberger's two part finale.
Prediction: Minds - 12.1 million, 3.2/CSI - 12.0 million, 3.0
NBC
8:00 Whitney #12 "Faking It"
8:30 Are You There, Chelsea? #2 "Sloane's Ex"
9:00 Harry's Law #24 "New Kidney on the Block"
10:00 Law & Order: SVU #284 "Official Story"
Poor NBC may get hit the hardest by the onslaught of competition as American Idol will impact the first two hours and CSI will impact Law & Order: SVU. Expect drops across the board - it will be interesting to see how the "Happy Hour" comedies hold up after decent showings last week. I wouldn't hold my breath for good news.
Prediction: Whitney - 4.9 million, 1.7/Chelsea - 5.3 million, 2.0/Harry's - 6.9 million, 1.1/SVU - 7.3 million, 1.8
FOX
8:00 American Idol (Season Premiere)
Well the Idol train is back on FOX. The question is, will it be as strong as ever or will it suffer the fate that so many reality shows have suffered this year - sizable drops? I'm guessing it will still be strong but definitely down. The premiere will likely be down a lot as there was some curiosity tune-in last year to see new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. But there's nothing new to see here this time so last year's premiere of 26.2 million viewers and a 9.2 demo will probably not be seen this year.
Prediction: Idol - 23.2 million, 8.1
