THE RUNDOWN: Sunday, January 8

ABC
7:00 America's Funniest Home Videos
8:00 Once Upon a Time #8 "Desperate Souls"
9:00 Desperate Housewives #167 "What's to Discuss, Old Friend?"
10:00 Pan Am #10 "Secrets and Lies"
ABC is all new with its regular lineup from the fall back in full force. Once Upon a Time should return stronger as it has been promoted heavily and December is difficult for serial dramas. Desperate Housewives should do ok but I wouldn't expect any growth headed toward the series finale until the end. Pan Am is a dead show walking and shouldn't improve much on its series low last airing.
Prediction: Videos - 5.9 million, 1.4/Time - 9.8 million, 3.2/Housewives - 8.6 million, 2.9/Pan Am - 4.9 million, 1.5

CBS
7:00 NFL Playoffs: Pittsburgh at Denver
8:00 60 Minutes
9:00 The Good Wife #58 "Alienation of Affection"
10:00 CSI: Miami #225 "Friendly Fire"
CBS is starting off with the NFL Playoff game that should deliver mammoth ratings. That will certainly help 60 Minutes and there could even be some spill over into The Good Wife and CSI: Miami. It wouldn't be surprising to see rises across the board.
Prediction: 60 Mins - 18.6 million, 4.2/Wife - 11.9 million, 2.3/Miami - 10.5 million, 2.3

NBC
7:00 Dateline NBC
9:00 The Firm #1/2 "Pilot/Chapter Two" (SERIES PREMIERE)
NBC is all new starting with a two hour Dateline that should do nothing. They follow it with the series premiere of The Firm, which got a lot of promotion during NBC's Wildcard Playoffs on Saturday. Still, I wouldn't expect huge ratings as the competition is strong and there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of interest. It still may get an ok sampling though.
Prediction: Dateline - 3.9 million, 1.1/Firm - 7.9 million, 2.2

FOX
7:00 Bob's Burgers #5 "Hamburger Dinner Theater" (REPEAT)
7:30 The Cleveland Show #49 "Sex and the Biddy" (REPEAT)
8:00 The Simpsons #496 "Politically Inept with Homer Simpson"
8:30 The Cleveland Show #51 "Y Tu Junior Tambien"
9:00 Family Guy #175 "Meg and Quagmire"
9:30 American Dad! #123 "The Unbrave One"
FOX is all new with its cartoon lineup from 8-10pm. However, with ABC's dramas back, CBS having an NFL lead-in, and the premiere of The Firm on NBC, these shows could suffer. However, they will have some promotion earlier in the day during FOX's Wildcard game so that could help some.
Prediction: Simpsons - 6.0 million, 2.7/Cleveland - 4.9 million, 2.1/Family - 5.9 million, 3.0/Dad - 4.1 million, 2.3
