CANCELLATION ALERT: Work It

Well that didn't take long.

ABC has cancelled the cross-dressing sitcom Work It after just two episodes. The critically panned show debuted with just 6.2 million viewers and a 2.0 in the demo but then tanked to 4.9 million viewers and a 1.5 demo in Week 2. The show was the subject of criticism and had one of the worst scores on MetaCritic ever. Basically, there was no hope for this show but it is the show to get cancelled the quickest this season (even How to Be a Gentleman got one extra Saturday airing before being yanked completely). Work It joins Charlie's Angels as official cancellations while Man Up! was cancelled without an official announcement and Pan Am has no chance of coming back. On the other hand, ABC's other new shows - Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Last Man Standing, and Suburgatory all stand a very good chance of getting a second season.

ABC will air Last Man Standing reruns following a new episode for three weeks but no word on what they will do after that though many suspect it may be the timeslot for third year show Cougar Town which has a 15 episode order but still no timeslot. Many predicted this anyway and now it appears it will come to Tuesdays, possibly as soon as February 7.
