THE RUNDOWN: Thursday, December 8

8:00 Winter Wipeout: Deck the Balls (SPECIAL)
9:00 America's Funniest Home Videos Christmas Spectacular (SPECIAL)
10:00 The Great Big American Auction (SPECIAL)
ABC is preempting its entire lineup for specials including Christmas specials of Wipeout and America's Funniest Home Videos. Expect ho-hum numbers across the board.
Prediction: Wipeout - 6.4 million, 1.8/Videos - 6.5 million, 1.7/Auction - 5.2 million, 1.3

8:00 The Big Bang Theory #98 "The Speckerman Recurrence"
8:30 Rules of Engagement #78 "Cheating"
9:00 Person of Interest #9 "Get Carter"
10:00 The Mentalist #79 "The Redshirt"
CBS is all new with its regular lineup for the first time since November 17. Being December, it wouldn't be surprising to see numbers down across the board from that night.
Prediction: Big Bang - 14.0 million, 4.9/Rules - 9.9 million, 3.3/Interest - 11.4 million, 2.5/Mentalist - 12.1 million, 2.4

8:00 Community #59 "Regional Holiday Music"
8:30 Parks and Recreation #56 "Citizen Knope"
9:00 The Office #162 "Christmas Wishes"
9:30 Whitney #10 "Christmas is Cummings"
10:00 Grimm #5 "Danse Macabre"
NBC is all new with Christmas episodes of its comedies - they could be up or down a hair from last week. This is the last week for them until January and the last scheduled episode of Community. A special airing of Grimm is on at 10pm to give the Friday drama more exposure. I wouldn't expect it to do much better than it does on Friday but if it gets a different audience, it's worth the airing.
Prediction: Community - 3.5 million, 1.7/Parks - 3.9 million, 1.9/Office - 6.1 million, 3.0/Whitney - 4.0 million, 1.9/Grimm - 5.2 million, 1.7

8:00 The X-Factor
9:00 Bones #134 "The Twist in the Twister"
FOX is all new with its regular lineup. With more competition, it wouldn't be surprising to see it down a hair from last week.
Prediction: X Factor - 9.9 million, 3.0/Bones - 8.5 million, 2.7
