The always successful Country Music Awards towered above the competition on Wednesday night and it was up slightly year-to-year. No wonder ABC renewed their contract with the awards show through 2021. As a result, CBS's lineup was down. At 8pm, Survivor was down 1.2 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. At 9pm, Criminal Minds was down 1.5 million viewers and three tenths in the demo, hitting a season low. Of course it hit a season low last year against the CMAs so I wouldn't consider this a big issue. At 10pm, CSI was down six tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo, also hitting a season low.

Over on NBC, Up All Night started off the night completely even with this week. While it held from last week, NBC can't be happy that this show is down in the 1s in the demo. But then again, all of their new shows are. At 9pm, Harry's Law was down two tenths in viewers but up a surprising two tenths in the demo. The viewers is a season low but the demo ties a season high. What gives? At 10pm, Law & Order: SVU was down four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo, hitting a series low. This show is fading fast. It was doing better at the much more competitive 9pm slot last year. Over on FOX, The X-Factor was down 1.5 million viewers and two tenths in the demo, hitting a low for Wednesday.
