PILOT PICKUPS: Person of Interest, Two Broke Girls

As usual, CBS has been mostly mute about their pickups but they did announce two pilot pickups and both have been longtime frontrunners.

First off, CBS picked up the crime drama Person of Interest starring Jim Caviezel. The drama seems like it will be high on action as an ex-CIA agent teams up with a billionaire to prevent violent crimes. It wouldn't be surprising to see it paired with the NCIS shows or Criminal Minds.

Also picked up was the frontrunner comedy Two Broke Girls about two women who tackle life in Brooklyn. From Whitney Cummings, whose pilot at NBC got picked up, this multicamera sitcom tested well and could be paired with The Big Bang Theory on Thursday nights as it deals with young adults.

That's all we've heard as far as pickups but we do know that the high profile Sarah Michelle Gellar show Ringer will not be getting picked up by CBS but will air on The CW. And also, there are many shows that are sure to get renewed but haven't been yet by tight-lipped CBS.
