8:00 The Middle #43 "The Legacy"
8:30 Better With You #17 "Better Without a Job"
9:00 Modern Family #43 "The Musical Man"
9:30 Happy Endings #1 "Pilot" (SERIES PREMIERE)
10:00 Happy Endings #2 "The Quicksand Girlfriend"
10:30 Modern Family #21 "Travels with Scout" (REPEAT)
After being in repeats for four of the past five weeks, ABC is mostly all new on Wednesday night with its comedy lineup. Lineups can sometimes struggle after weeks of repeats so that could be the case here. Better With You is back on for the first time in any capacity since March 2 and its survival chances seem limited but the next few weeks will confirm things one way or another. There is also the series premiere of Happy Endings which gets a double episode – one behind Modern Family and one in its regular 10pm slot. Look for a decent premiere with the lead-in and no American Idol competition, but it will be interesting to see how much of the audience sticks around at 10pm.
Prediction: Middle – 6.9 million, 2.0/Better – 5.2 million, 1.5/Family 9:00 – 10.2 million, 4.1/Happy 9:30 – 8.0 million, 3.2/Happy 10:00 – 6.1 million, 2.5/Family 10:30 – 4.0 million, 1.4
9:00 Criminal Minds #135 "The Stranger"
10:00 Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior #9 "Smother"CBS is all new with its regular lineup. They could be down slightly with ABC new again but not too much. With Law & Order: SVU in repeats, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior could creep back up a bit.
Prediction: Survivor – 10.5 million, 3.1/Criminal – 13.5 million, 3.5/Suspect – 9.5 million, 2.2
8:00 Minute to Win It
9:00 Minute to Win It (REPEAT)
10:00 Law & Order: SVU #258 "Rescue" (REPEAT)NBC is airing a new Minute to Win It followed by repeats of Minute and Law & Order: SVU. Therefore, they should barely register in the ratings.
Prediction: Minute 8:00 – 3.9 million, 1.0/Minute 9:00 – 3.4 million, 0.8/SVU – 5.0 million, 1.4
8:00 American Idol
9:30 Breaking In #2 "Tis Better to Have Loved and Flossed"FOX is all new starting with American Idol which could be down slightly with ABC new again. Week two of Breaking In follows after a decent debut last week. But the show didn’t get great reviews. It still has a great lead-in but the retention will be worse this week.
Prediction: Idol – 21.8 million, 7.0/Breaking – 8.0 million, 3.0
