ABC was all new on Monday night and did not suffer much against the NCAA Basketball Championship. Dancing with the Stars was down a million viewers and half a demo point which is not a bad drop as the competition goes on and the basketball game was a big draw from 9-10pm. At 10pm, Castle was down 1.1 million viewers and four tenths in the demo, also holding up relatively well against basketball. This was good counter programming from ABC. CBS started with repeats of its Thursday sitcoms but then dominated with the NCAA Basketball Championship. The low scoring game was down 3.8 million viewers and 1.1 in the demo from last year's classic game, but still easily won the night.

NBC was very low rated on Monday night. After a repeat of Chuck, The Event was down four tenths in viewers but actually up a tenth in the demo. There's no reason to expect it back next season. That led into the season finale of Harry's Law which fell eight tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo for series lows. It also failed to build on The Event too much. Despite this disappointing drop, it will likely be back next year since it earned goodwill early on and NBC is in such dire shape. A two hour Law & Order: LA return will air next Monday night. FOX aired low rated repeats of House and The Chicago Code.
