ABC was all new on Thursday night and perked up at 9pm with Grey's Anatomy's musical episode. At 8pm, Wipeout was down a million viewers and four tenths in the demo from last week. The demo ties a season low as it suffered against new episodes on FOX and CBS. Thanks to the heavily hyped music episode, Grey's Anatomy was up a big 2.2 million viewers and 1.2 in the demo. These are its best numbers since the season premiere and a 4.9 is nothing to slouch about these days. At 10pm, Private Practice did not feel the effects and was down half a million viewers and up a tenth in the demo.

CBS was all new with its regular lineup. At 8pm, The Big Bang Theory was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from its last airing three weeks ago, tying a season low in the demo. Rules of Engagement was down 1.2 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. This show is actually performing below what $#*! My Dad Says was pulling which is surprising as CBS's comedy issues seem to be growing this year. At 9pm, CSI was down six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from its last airing. Finally at 10pm, The Mentalist was even in viewers and down a tenth in the demo as it remains a solid 10pm show.

NBC was in repeats and pathetically low. The only new show was the soon-to-be-pulled Perfect Couples which was down 1.4 million viewers and six tenths in the demo for series lows. Though not officially cancelled, this show is pulling absolutely horrific numbers on a night that NBC used to dominate. FOX was all new starting with American Idol which was up 1.3 million viewers and four tenths in the demo as it remains a powerful force. At 9pm, a sampling of Mobbed pulled decent ratings. Not great retention, but overall good ratings. It did well enough to earn an eight episode pickup but no word yet on when it will air.
