There was nothing worth mentioning on Sunday night except FOX which saw a record breaking NFL season end with a record breaking Super Bowl. The contest between the Champion Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers resulted in the most watched telecast of all time, eclipsing last year's Super Bowl by about 5 million viewers. It was a fitting end to a season that saw the NFL get even bigger. Now all NFL-carrying networks hope the labor dispute is resolved so they can continue to reap the profits. The coveted post-Super Bowl slot went to Glee this year which hit an easy series high but was well below last year's CBS premiere of Undercover Boss. With a show that already has its fans in place, it shouldn't be a huge surprise that it didn't get more sampling but it was still a smart decision by FOX and if it picks up even a few new viewers, that is a good thing. The other networks were left to mop the floor with repeats, newsmagazines, and movies.
